Our Story
Orchard Extractions Private Limited (formerly MBR Agro Industries Private Limited) was established in 1994 with a vision to excel in rice bran processing. Starting with an installed capacity of 60 tonnes per day, the company has steadily grown through continuous innovation and expansion.
Today, Orchard operates with an impressive processing capacity of 500 tonnes per day , enabling an annual throughput of approximately 150,000 tonnes of rice bran. This makes Orchard one of the largest and most advanced rice bran processing facilities in Tamil Nadu.
With a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and sustainability, Orchard Extractions continues to play a vital role in the edible oil industry, delivering reliable solutions to its customers.

Mr. S. Mani
Chairman & Managing Director
Orchard Extractions was promoted by Mr.S.Mani, a Chemical Engineer by profession & a former NRI, possessing a total experience of about 4 decades in various capacities in different industries and is currently the CEO of M/s Orchard Extractions Private Limited. He has set up 3 solvent extraction plants and possesses wide experience in the operations of solvent plants and refineries. Orchard Extractions is headed by Mr.S.Mani, a graduate in chemistry and an Associate Member of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Calcutta. He has about 4 decades of experience in various industries producing Fertilizers, Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Vegetable Oil.
Mr. S. Jayachandran
Executive Director – Commercial Operations
Holding a Master’s degree in Sociology, Mr. S. Jayachandran brings over two decades of rich experience in the commercial operations of solvent extraction plants. He oversees the company’s commercial functions, ensuring efficient supply chain management, strategic sourcing, and strong customer relationships.
Dr.M.Arun
Executive Director – Technical, Finance & Administration
Dr. M. Arun holds a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Management, a Master’s degree in Chemistry, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science. With more than 17 years of experience spanning both the solvent extraction industry and academia, he is responsible for overseeing the company’s technical operations, financial management, and administrative functions. His multidisciplinary expertise strengthens the organization’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
